Dr. Pierce Roberts seems like an odd fit for a private Catholic college. He was raised in the religion, but shirked it in his mid-twenties following a crisis of faith he is usually tight-lipped about. Still, he retains enough trappings and respect for the faith that he was able to persuade the college's dean to extend some leeway when hiring a new professor of psychology.

He is deeply knowledgeable about the human mind, its secrets and desires, and is not afraid to use this knowledge to ensure he gets his way. He is not Machiavellian, but does present himself in a charismatic way and projects a commanding presence that can dominate any room,especially a lecture hall. Amongst the faculty and students, he is a byword for confidence and authority.

Roberts is a tall, well-built man, towering to nearly six and a half feet, with shoulders and limbs sized to match. His solid muscles and sturdy wrists and ankles attest to the rugby he played as a youth in his native England. Short, curly brown hair crowns a square-jawed head and rectangular face. His blue eyes are deeply set and can look kind, but more often seem brooding. He has firm-set lips that channel a stentorian voice and meltingly sexy accent.
