Tallulah Violet Davenport

Tallulah Violet Davenport is the first born child of Grace Davenport and John Edward Williams, her family was perfect, her, her mother and father, everything was happy, until the phone call. She had been no more than 8 when that phone had rung, excited she had run to answer it, the man asked for her mother. Then suddenly her mother was crying, collapsed on the floor, her grandma came over, the house was filled with strangers that gave her sweets... but her father never came home, killed in a freak accident at work.

Tallulah was 9 when her mother met Douglas, an older man who had an intense dislike for Tallulah, something he often told her, but in front of her mother he smiled and called her cute. Tallulah didn’t understand what it meant when her mother came home and shrieked she was engaged.. she was a flower girl... then she was babysat by her grandmother for a whole month! She was 11 when her mother miscarried her little brother or sister, she held her mother while she cried, while Douglas stormed off in angry huffs. She was 15 when her little brother Quinton Lee was born, from that moment on, she didn’t exist, not in any way that mattered.

At 16, Douglas got her a job at the bank, Tallulah had been excited until she realised that she was paid half of what everyone else was, worked longer hours and was the only person of her level who answered directly to Douglas. By the time she was 18, she had proven herself, impressed some of the other workers, some assumed that she and her step father had a relationship that would make God smite them. But she cared very little about her colleagues, what she cared about was getting out of her home. Her mother was not her mother anymore, Douglas and she fought, he didn’t seem to care that Tallulah could hear him calling her mother useless before he had sex, roughly, with her. That Tallulah knew of the other miscarriages... he didn’t seem to care about how heartbroken her mother was every... single.. time.. he wanted another child. She didn’t want to leave Quinton, or her mother there, but Tallulah wasn’t a part of the family.. she needed to be free.

Tallulah dressed professionally, carefully choosing undergarments to highlight her slender waist, hold her breasts in and smooth out her hips. She was jealous of the girls who came in wearing bright, fun patterns, to dresses that hinted at cleavage.. her breasts were hidden, encased in tight bras that wrangled them to a size that didn’t strain at her garments. She wore mostly high neck dresses that hid her shoulders, came to below the knee and modest heels. She wished she could wear some of the gowns she saw in magazines... but she could never afford them, and Douglas would have her head. Her long, bright red/organge hair fell over her shoulders and ended at her breasts, but for work it was often pulled back in a tight bun, or a style that did not allow for any to be in her face. Her blue eyes were sweet, innocent, filled with curiosity, hiding her longing for more than this.
