Nephi Swanson is a curious mix of scholarly and casual, with short (and messy) black hair, hazel eyes, and quite thick glasses that have seen better days on his nose.  He tends to dress in track-pants or cargo pants with a T-shirt and jacket, unless working or at church.  He is a faithful member of the local congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, has recently returned from a proselyting mission to France (six months ago), and has been called to teach the 8 - 11 year old children in the Primary.
To support himself, he works as a Teacher's Aide at the local high school.  He also does some fencing training to keep himself in shape, but not as much as he knows he should.  He has three scars - a thin, white scar about an inch long on the palm of his left hand (about an inch below the third finger), an old scar about two inches long on the side of his right shin, and one from a childhood accident about two and a half to three inches long, starting at the top of his left ankle.
He lives clean.  He doesn't smoke, drink, do drugs, or swear.  He donates 10% of his income to the church, and tries to be a good member in all ways.  He has no girlfriend, and is in fact quite clueless about how to get a girlfriend.
