Ko Dek was a studious Kel Dor, well on his way towards becoming a respected diplomat before the attrocities of Imperial Rule became evident. His eyre, stoked by the Empire's arrogance and greed, forced him to turn his back on writing speeches and letters. He felt that he was wasting valuable time when the enemy knew nothing other than war. The quickest way to deal with the empire was to meet it head-on in the heat of battle.

His constitution didn't make him suited for ground battles, but having to keep a breathing aparatus everywhere he went, he figured he could better serve at the front lines within a fighter engine. He quickly convinced the rebel hierchy to give him a chance as a pilot.

In the end he misses his books, but he has never regreted his choice. Battle in space was clean and clear cut. Death was swift... and so was Justice; such is the Kel Dor way.
