Ever since Keyleth was a baby, her parents knew she was a bit energetic and high-strung for an elf. But as the years passed, Keyleth proved to be extremely impatient and she learned to crawl, walk and run a lot sooner than normal elf children. Nothing happened quick enough for her growing up. The parents tried a number of things to help their daughter learn to calm down or at least be more patient.

Around when Keyleth was five years old, her parents took her with them on an errand to Tarmalune. The little elf girl was clearly pleased with what she saw and was very hard to keep control over. Her parents, realizing this may be another way to help their child, decided to live in Tharmalune for the time.

From there, Keyleth got a couple younger brothers. While this did not chain he free spirit, Keyleth did learn responsibility and started showing restraint in order to do right by her brothers.

Around age 7, Keyleth showed an interest in street fights. But whenever she watched the fights, she couldn't help but wonder why fighters would move so slow. But one fighter would bounce around the arena and not only moved fast, but oft made fights start and finish fast! Keyleth became his fangirl and the man liked her for it. So soon, she was learning things about fighting because he couldn't help but talk Keyleth's ear off about it.

At age 10, Keyleth's wanderings led her to a hermit druid who lived just outside the city. She befriended the druid, not knowing the hermit was a druid. When the druid finally met Keyleth's parents, they were overjoyed, realizing that a druid may be the very thing a little elf needs to get back in touch with her elven roots. The druid accepted this challenge and soon learned of the nature of Keyleth.

Working closely with the parents, the druid had Keyleth grow up in two worlds: That of the city and that of the forest. Dividing her attention proved to actually improve her studies in both nature and school. But what the parents didn't know yet is it also improved her fighting studies!

By the time Keyleth's parents were aware that their girl was learning fisticuffs, it was already way too late and she had become quite the fighter. So they relented and let Keyleth chase her desires.

Now, at age 19, Keyleth is ready to move on to see the rest of the world! And what of her younger brothers? Well she'll visit plenty! She's certainly fast enough to go, explore parts of the world, and be back before the weekend. And some day, she hopes to be fast enough to be back before dinner.
