Zero Brai is tall for a cat, standing at 5'6. He is also more heavily built them most cat hybrids, with a muscular, well-defined body. He has short black hair, and sideburns that go into a goatee. He also has a slight mustache growing. The cat's eyes are a deep green color, and his skin has a light tan. His ears are cat-like, and they and his tail are covered in soft, black fur. Zero's fet are more cat-like, and he has retractable claws on his fingers and toes. Despite his years of fighting in the arena, he has few scars, most of which are faded. He does have a set of nasty, mismatched scars on his knees and an angled, T-shaped scar on his right side, constant reminders of the accident that had crippled him. On the right side of Zero's face, there is a marking of a black serpentine dragon in a flowing, S-shape; the center of the dragon passes through Zero's right eye.

Personality:
Zero is a socially maladjusted hybrid who has run into a series of bad situations that have left him with a crippling, nihilistic attitude toward personal relationships. He is resolved and determined to return to his former glory in the Arena Tournaments; Zero has no real personal goals beyond seeking those who can help him achieve this dream. He has a natural friendly streak within him and a dominant personality, and he does like to show off from time to time, both to let people know they shouldn't underestimate him, and to prove to himself he can still do things. However, an abusive past has left him socially inexperienced, and a series of unfortunate and bizarre social backfires have only enforced the impression that he cannot have a normal life, and is destined only to fight. This belief has only been reinforced over time, and he believes himself cursed, only able to corrupt relationships with others. This often leads him to bouts of self-doubt and depression, which has been magnified recently with the violent manner his collar was removed. He has managed to get of his collar loss, and is shakily seeking to reestablish himself as a hybrid up for adoption.
Background:
Zero's history is a tragic one. Abandoned by his father while still a kitten, he was rescued and brought to a shop. Before he could be sent to a sanctuary, a viir man adopted him along with a few other hybrids; this man was looking for potential arena fighters, and decided to raise them young. He was an abusive man with harsh methods of training and much more cruel punishments. Zero was forced to fight in the arena, both legitimate and underground. Despite a few initial defeats and vicious beatings from his owner, Zero soon excelled, and scaled the tournaments to national fame.
That ended one wintery night; some of the people who had lost to Zero's owner confronted them in the streets, and there was a shoving match. Zero was pushed off the icy sidewalk and into the street, where a car hit him. Hearing he would likely never walk again, Zero's owner abandoned him, leaving the crippled cat to be taken to Lady Zin's. There he managed to slowly recover and even defy what the doctors had guessed. This was when Zero's drive to return to the arena started; sadly, it was also soon thereafter that the darker points in his life began, where everything he tried to do failed, and people he respected only criticized and reprimanded him.
He was adopted, but more stressful events caused him to run away to try and sort out his thoughts. Before he could return to his owner however, NuGen stepped in. Zero was kidnapped and made into one of the Shadow Hybrids. During the NuGen Incident, he felt so shamed by his inability to stop NuGen that he fled with them. He served the company for some time, until he managed to find an opening to escape. He tore off his damaged collar and managed his way back to Lady Zin's.
Lu-Dan was a nickname Zero picked up from a construction site, using martial prowess to break down some chunks of concrete rubble. Lu-Dan is a common reference to martial arts, and has had a series of movies featuring various real and exaggerated forms of it. Lu-Dan is comparable to Earth's Kung Fu in how well known it is and movie genres. Lu-Dan is also the alias Zero used when he and Macha foiled a bank robbery.
