Thalia's Lunar Mate, a No Moon protege of Artimisia the Gardener. He is fair and pale-eyed with shoulder length ash blond hair, contrasting with his wife's alluring black. His figure is that of an acrobat or dancer, strong yet flexible, and always impeccably dressed, a walking example of Thalia's unmistakable fashion artistry.

Much of what is known of him is shrouded in mystery (as is typical for the Lunars of Anthegenia, it seems), but when in public functions he is always mild mannered and at his best behavior. A romantic at heart, he enjoys the language of flowers, and his work as a botanist exemplifies the many advantages that plants bring to modern technology and medicine.

Alyseis is known to be good friends with Ma-Ha-Suchi, but does not seem to share the other Lunar's copious promiscuity.
