John is member of the Northern Paiute Tribe and grew up on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation in Nevada.  He is 5'10" tall and is solidly build yet lean.  He had his first change at 16 and spent the next two years learning from his kuasha on the reservation.  Shortly after she left him to fend for himself, he got the wanderlust that is common to his kind and found a cheap van and set out on the road.
