Aiden does not reveal much about himself or his past to most people.   He goes by may different names and faces, usually hiring himself out as an infiltrator.  He uses his talents to sneak in where others cannot, to procure information, items, or whatever the situation requires.  He prides himself on being able to blend in anywhere and has a talent for languages, picking up new tongues rapidly.  His goal is always to come and go completely unnoticed, but he has the strength and skill to fight his way out of most situations when necessary.

Most of those who know him believe him to be human, but what he reveals to only those few he trusts is that he is actually a changeling, and is able to change his features easily to assume the likeness of almost anyone.

Aiden does not know who his father was, other then that he was a doppelganger.  His mother was a minor member of nobility, that the doppelganger was trying to get close to as part of some unknown plot.   When Aiden was born and his mother saw his inhuman features, she fled with the child fearing it would be thought a demon or some kind of curse and be put to death.

Aiden and his mother lived in hiding for several years as he learned to alter his features and blend in.  When he was about 8 years old, the village he and his mother were hiding in was attacked by an ancient black dragon, by the name of Xetheiglad.   The dragon had been angered by a group of adventurers that had stolen some of his treasure, and tracked them back to the village as there starting point.   In a rage the dragon slaughtered the entire village, The only survivor of the attack was young Aiden.  Xetheiglad found him hiding in the rubble after the attack.   Aiden was so terrified he was unable to control his ability to disguise himself.

The dragon recognized Aiden for what he was, and decided that the child would be of more use to him alive then as a snack.   He took the child back to his cave in the swamps, and over the next several years taught the child many things, setting him on the path of a dragon shaman.   For many years Aiden served the dragon, who periodically threatened to eat him.  The dragon sent him on many missions to infiltrate various places to steal there treasures, find the most vulnerable spots for him to attack and occasionally eliminate targets for him.

By the time Aiden was an adult he had a tenuous friendship with the dragon, or at least he threatened to eat him less frequently and gave him more and more freedom, but while Aiden could be quite ruthless and was not an extremely moral person, he could never quite see eye to eye with the dragons view of the world.  He eventually set out on his own making a name for himself (actually several names, and different identities) as someone who could go where others couldn't.   Usually for reconnaissance, but occasionally for less reputable things such as assassinations and theft.  He usually kept these kind of activities under other identities, so as not to drive off any of his clients.

Aiden has occasionally required the services of Hador as a guide on some of the planes he has had to travel too.  He has also occasionally worked in the service of Knight Defender Baynor, providing recon from behind enemy lines in some of his campaigns, occasionally contributing the use of his sword as well.
