Jens Meksun is certainly the more intelligent looking of the two twins, his wry smile betraying a hint of mystery - unlike his brother’s obtuse grin. He is shorter and much less built than Ham, yet his groomed looks and neatly-trimmed beard make him seem older – which he is, by seven or eight minutes. He is clad in the same navy overalls, gloves and dust goggles as his brother and also wears his hair tied back, however he seems to take much more pride in personal appearance than Ham.

The twins’ pale complexion and unusual hair colour hints that their origin is not Calimshan. You suspect they may be from somewhere further north, yet there is something about the ghostly pale – almost blue hue of their skin and the intense blue of their eyes which seems remarkably odd...
