Berin is a man whose combination of weathered bearing and youthful features make his exact age hard to pin down at first blush. His hair is dark and medium-length, with occasional flecks of what might either be blond or white hairs. He once went clean shaven, but his chin bears the beginnings of a beard, accentuating a strong-featured face. While not a man to stop hearts in their tracks with a glance, he is not unhandsome, and would probably be easier on the eyes if cleaned up from the dirt of the road and the sweat of near constant travel. Of note, his eyes are very striking, being a slate gray that demands attention.

Physically he is well built, slightly taller then the average man at 5'10 and made stocky rather then slender. He wears the colors of the order of Knight's Panther, including (at times) a cloak that was taken from a very large beastman with a certain leonine look to it. A large beast-claw is a part of the clasp, and leaves little doubt as to where the long, thin scar on the left side of his face comes from. His harness is plain, but etched with a few symbols of the order and a purity seal sits on the breastplate over his heart.

His personal heraldry is surprisingly understated, being the Classical numeral for "Third" on his shield.
