Over fifty people died in the Blackthorn Mining Disaster, and not all the bodies could be recovered. Nor the souls. Some of them stalk the deeper tunnels, but a number still lurk about the bone pit, remembering nothing of who they were, only how they waited for a rescue that never came and how they died of wounds and thirst, always thirst. They're twisted and bitter things, and will fall on anyone who breaches the cave-in.
