Pierce's clothes are well-worn and too warm for the climate around here - denoting him as foreign in these parts.
He's usually heeled, the holster and gun in much better condition than his coat. He has a haunted, tired look about him, his eyes constantly scanning his surroundings and he rarely seems relaxed.

Currently, William is wearing all black now: black pants (from a wedding suit), a black  shirt and a black inverness coat, which looks rather formal and overdressed for a town like Blackthorn.

When the coat is open, the holster is clearly visible, with a gun worn right. There's a second gun, a silver-plated peacemaker tucked into the gun-belt to be cross-drawn with the right hand, too.
