John is a handsome enough man who could probably use a shave and a haircut. His hair is dark and hard to tell if it's brown or black. His eyes are a rich green. He wears a dark leather duster, chaps and boots all of a dark brown nature that look fairly new despite the dust of his recent travels. All in all he looks like your standard drifter with one exception should someone get a closer look at his hip. There, instead of a pistol and holster, they would find he has what seems to be three two foot long sticks attached to one another by a short length of chain.
