Description--Dark brown hair, brownish-hazel eyes, lanky built, and kind of baby-faced (he'll probably never be able to grow a decent moustache, forget a beard).  He's got an aura of wonderment at almost everything he encounters, once he overcomes his trepidation.  Cautiously curious, if he'd been born a century earlier he would probably have been one of the Western explorers carefully mapping each step of his route, rather than being the first into new territory.  He's carefully observant, and an intuitive pilot, which has led to him having occasional flashes of brilliance in aerial and space combat, beyond his standard solid performance.  His ground crew alternately sings his praises and curses his name--his flight record accords them a certain amount of bragging rights, but he does tend to bring his ship back with its more-than-fair share of battle damage.
