Zarstan
Description:Young Cymrilian looks like an average member of his race - tall, pale green skin with gold eyes and green hair. Unlike many of those his age he doesn't appear to be up on the latest fashion or sporting many magical appearance alterations. He does, however, have large number of glyphs linked by complex knots tattooed on his body (many are in a shade of green that can blend into his skin from a distance).
His clothing is colorful and inscribed with arcane sigils but suited to travel with a large number of pockets that seem to be stuffed with pens, scrolls, paper talismans and small books.
When he performs magic, which is quite often, the glyphs on his body glow and dance off his body. His spells often consist of inscribing glowing runes in the air accompanied by a swirl of runes around him and the target.
Personality:
Zarstan has the soul of an artist and sharp/exact mind of a cryptomancer. This gives him two loves in his life - art and magic,with magic being his true passion. Some would find he is a bit more obsessed with magic than a normal Cymrilian.
Socially Zarstan can be described as a friendly introvert. He doesn't necessairly seek out the companionship of others but when he is in social situations, he is friendly and talkitive - although he does have a tendency to discuss magic, art, and scholarly matters.
Zarstan has a strong sense of ethics inspired by the writings of Archimandius, Hotan, Solimorrion, and other similar philosophers. He tries to see the beauty and goodness in the world and opposes that which would destroy it.
Another strong personality trait for Zarstan is a strong belief in being prepared. This has driven him toward the large number of cryptomancy trigger runes on his person.
Zarstan's primary goals in life revolve around learning more magic and eventually returning to Cymril to stop the corrupt Tansians from harming what is his home. He is obsessed with finding the ancient secrets of magic, especially sorcery. Fragments of an ancient manuscript have given him the clues of its existence and roughly what it can do. With it he is sure he could stand against the Tansians.
