Liberty

Name: Liberty Erelah Stryker
Age: 12

Physical Description:
Blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin. Ever so lightly on the thick side of things, Liberty seems to be weighty less from fat and more from general build, though much of her seems like her baby fat just doesn't wanna go. Thanks to her powers, Liberty actually has very smooth, soft skin. She stands at around 5 feet tall (Actual height is slighly taller than that: 5' 1") and carries herself with an aura of confidence. For clothing, she usually wears red, white and blue in some combination (On purpose to represent her patriotism). She can often be seen with sunglasses resting on her head. Alternatively, her sunglasses may be resting in her shirt (or vest) pocket when she wears a headband. Once in a while, when she's feeling "cute", she'll wear a bow in her hair. This is always accompanied by a skirt or dress, which is almost as rare.

Lazy Description:

Hair color: Blond (Gold)
Skin color: Standard Caucasian
Height: 5' 1"
Weight: 100 Lbs.
Clothing preference:
Jeans and T-shirt (T-shirt always has a message on it). Sometimes wears jean skirts. Sunglasses perched on head (over eyes in bright sun, duh).
Other:
Confident demeanor. Every other time, can be seen with a hairclip or a headband in her hair (the standard girl headband, not the kind worn on the forehead).

Background:
Liberty was born to a pair of American patriots who believed in being very active in politics and the local community. They lobbied at the White House and homeschooled their children. After Liberty was born, her parents found they were unable to have more kids, so they adopted a boy who they named "Justice". Liberty wound up, like a lot of first borns, a responsible individual. She became newspaper-worthy a number of times for raising funds for orphanages or homeless shelters or rescuing a suffocating woman in a grocery store, or preventing a fire from spreading at a museum, or working with the police to capture a wanted fugitive... the list goes on. Her determination to help out was quite impressive. And then she discovered her powers around the time she turned 10.

At first, Liberty and her family agreed for her to keep it secret and only use her powers when absolutely neccessary, such as rescuing people from a burning building. But with a child as obsessed with helping and being active as Liberty was, she eventually got found out. Reactions were mixed. Mutant haters would egg or TP her house, people made threatening phone calls and so on. But with her experience with the police, Liberty made short work of such people by dealing with them according to the law. There were, of course, the greatful sort who gave gifts to Liberty and her family.

It didn't take long for Liberty's family to find out about the recent movement at the police station to get things going for a group of legally supported mutants, enforced by the police to help out the community where the police and fire dept could use the help (such as giant water monsters). Liberty signed up and the story begins...

Personality:
Liberty is determined and responsible. Her heart bleeds for people with genuine problems, so she sometimes gets annoyed when someone complains about something small that can easily be fixed like a crumb spill. But she gets downright atimate about concerns of things being fair or unfair and will fight for who is in the right.

Liberty is a little stubborn and so it's hard to persuade her she is wrong about anything. Still, she has been learning during the course of her powers (the past 2 years) how to keep an open enough mind to at least hear someone out, process what they say, and THEN tell them how wrong they are ;) (Or how right they are).

Due to her family's beliefs, Liberty may not agree 100% with what the teachers teach, but she makes an effort to be respectful anyhow (That and she was taught to respect her elders). Besides... you can't expect someone to respect your views and beliefs if you don't respect them some way.

Speaking of things she doesn't agree with, she HATES the term "homo superior" even more than the term "mutant". She thinks everyone, mutant or not, are all equal. Many mutants, ironically, prove her point for her by being just as prone to evil as non-mutants.

(Note from Liberty's player, GM Tim: While this game does not have Xavier, Wolverine, Storm, Magneto or any other X-men or Marvel character, it is still modeled after the X-men concept. Thus, terminology, such as "homo superior", still makes sense to exsist. Especially given human disposition to consider one's self superior to another.)

Powers:
Tough
Liberty is very tough. Things that would normally kill a girl her age are an annoyance to her. Bullets bruise her rather than penetrate her. Extreme fires give her first degree burns instead of third degree burns.
Immense Will
Liberty has a powerful will. Attempts to take over her mind fail. This is actually more a personality trait, but it is enhanced by her mutant genes.
Strength
Liberty has about the same strength as an average full-grown man. Her strength has been gradually improving (ie when she was 10, she was just "strong for a girl"). Scientific data given current growth rate suggests she will probably be able to flip a car within a couple years.

Abilities:
Guitar Lessons
Liberty is far from being a pro at the guitar and is a notch above knowing the basics. She owns a normal acoustic which she practices on once in a while. (Nudge, Sarah, hint)
Chess Player (Decent)
Liberty can play chess. She might be a school champ for her age group, but she's not quite ready to win any city-wide competitions.
DDR!
For what it's worth, Liberty can play within 90 to 100% accuracy on the hardest mode of a given DDR style game. Otherwise, she doesn't dance much. She wants to learn, though (Hint, Haalima, wink).

Other Stuff:
American Patriot
Liberty is a patriot with strong patriots for parents, so she knows her stuff when it comes to American Lore, such as its history, laws and so on.
Ice Cream Lover
Liberty is slightly more fond of ice cream than average, getting it wherever and whenever she has the opportunity. She doesn't go out of her way for it, but if there's an ice cream truck or some ice cream in the fridge, she's bound to ask for some.
Budding Fashion Girl
Despite the fact she is a tom-girl, Liberty actually has been developing a taste for good clothing. When she was 9, Liberty began experimenting with clothes of all kinds and had some poor fashion sense at the time. But with a lot of trial and error, she has gotten to learn what good is. Liberty has a way of looking "cool" to some degree. She's no pro, but as the title suggests, she is learning.

Final Note:
While it wasn't intentional, it just so happens Liberty is a LOT like Sarah in so many ways. Also not intentional is that she has certain interests that will make her student material to Sarah and Haalima. Possibly Michael if he knows some stuff about police procedure that Lib would take interest in (Note, she likes knowing about law as "American Patriot" indicates).

Strength: As strong as an average adult male.
Intelligence: Average 12-year-old
Endurance: Aside from needing to eat, breath and sleep, it is questionable if there is a limit to Liberty's endurance.
Agility: Average 12-year-old
Awareness: Average 12-year-old
Charisma: Liberty can be abrasive, but she also tends to have a little bit of a commanding presence to where even grownups listen to her. So while this means some people find her a little rough, they also find she is able to make decisions when others would be unable.
Willpower: Liberty is stubborn. While not to the point of idiocy, Liberty will not be moved from her morals or by peer pressure. When tortured, Liberty wound up becoming all the more determined to not even give the bad guys the time of day.
