Rynn always loved music, but never had much ability to play.  What he could do, however, was criticize.  He began offering insightful, inspired, and hilarious commentary on every performance he saw and it wasn't long before he realized that some combination of innate magical power and natural faculty with language gave him the ability to keep people rapturously entertained by his reviews.  His destiny clear, Rynn set out to become the most famous reviewer in all the world, attending as many musical performances, plays, and bear-baitings as possible and writing a thorough review of each one.

Rynn is currently traveling as far as he can go, hoping to properly maintain his sense of ironic detachment long enough to get published and achieve fame in cultured circles.  Failing that, he hopes to put a magic missile through anybody who says one good thing about Gnoll Folk music.
