This is not traditional Victorian Steampunk.  The Iron Kingdoms is a Fantasy Steamworks hybrid.  Magic and Alchemy are viewed as sciences.  Applied to clockwork and steam, they are used to create a myriad of mechanikal innovations.

We were not playing under Privateer Press' rebooted RPG ruleset.  I was using Pathfinder for the core rules, mostly homebrew for the mechanika, and using the published campaign materials for the fluff.
