Emily was raised in a large family and often felt she was over looked.  After she finished school she decided to head west to make a new life for herself. Her parents were loving and good they came to America from Ireland looking to make a better life here. She comes from a long history of blacksmiths and grew up learning the trade to help her family out. Emily was the first of their 10 children born here in America and they very proud of her. Her older brother did not want her to move west, but at 23 she saw no hope in finding a husband and thought if marriage wasn't in her future maybe some adventures were waiting past the little town of Fishkill, NY.
