Carden is a classically tall, dark and handsome Taldan, and by all appearances knows it very well.  His dark brown hair frames a pleasing face with expressive light brown eyes and a strong jaw accented by a neatly trimmed beard and moustache.  Broad shoulders and a narrow waist highlight his athletic build, and his tailored clothes are fitted to best accentuate those characteristics.

In the field Carden's appearance is just as impressive.  Sitting astride his heavy charger clad in tooled leather barding, silver buckles gleaming, Carden himself wears shining scale mail and carries a heavy shield bearing a black griffon rampant clutching the furled banner of some unknown house.  From his waist hang a polished longsword and black, studded morningstar, and braced from his stirrup extends a lance dripping narrow black and silver pennants.
