Dane doesn't remember where he came from. His earliest memory happened a mere eight years ago, when he suddenly woke up on the Nautilus, a self-contained fishing vessel.

"We pulled you up from the sea, boy." The captain said suspiciously in his grating tone. The captain asked question upon question, but Dane could give him no answers. He was given a name by the captain and became a (heavily watched) member of the ship's crew. As the years passed, suspicion turned to trust, and Dane was fully recognized as Nautilus family.

The man is said to follow his own tune. Indeed, he has vivid dreams and waking visions that he cannot express into literal words, only that his path follows this subconscious advice daily. When the Nautilus docked on the Tempeste Noir, Dane simply knew it was time to leave. With the captain's trepidacious blessing, and Lord Malsifa's cautious permission, Dane left to join Lord Malsifa's crew. Despite all his talents, he was situated as a bartender in the crew lounge to basically keep him... out of the way and in plain sight.

Dane manages to be harmless in appearance, but even after a year of serving on the Tempeste Noir, he still doesn't fully understand his mission here, but from what he's seen, he's determined it has something with killing Malsifa and his incorrigible family.

Appearance: Dane is fair-skinned, with pale, almost white blonde hair trimmed short. His eyes are black, however, a shocking contrast to the rest of him. He has high, angled features, chiseled in some respects. His shape is trim, and surprisingly muscular for a man who spends the majority of his days and nights simply bartending. Since joining the Tempeste Noir, he's picked up the bad habit of smoking cigarettes. Rarely is he seen without one.

Personality: Quiet, direct, intuitive. He hides his confusion over his obscured past very well, but he is driven to uncover it by any means.
