Dave White is a 16 year old teen, 6'1", 165 pounds, a physical specimen, with short, blond hair and green eyes, lean and very muscular. He speaks with a bland, midwestern accent, plenty of homespun expressions, and his face is open, handsome, and generally pleasant. When he speaks, it is clear that he has a normal IQ; his word choice is simple, and his generally trusting nature makes him, on occasion, somewhat gullible.

He dresses simply, weather appropriate, but always manages to flatter his physique.

History

Born in outside of Omaha, Nebraska, one of four children, gifted athlete, on a track for college football and then the pros. Yeah, he was that good. Then fate intervened. According to the cameras, the girl was about to get run over by the bus; his diving push got her out of the way, but not him. His body was shattered, and he lay in a coma for a year before waking. It was in all the papers. He lost his freshman year of high school, and his football career, of course, was finished. He is arriving at the school a 16 year old sophomore.

Personality and Quirks

• He carries a well-worn and well-oiled dark steampunk leather satchel, which was a gift from his parents. He loves steampunk stuff; no one knows why.

• He enjoys word search puzzles, and usually carries a book of them in his satchel.
  
• He has bouts of melancholy when he thinks about what he has lost in the last year; generally, he sits around and reads comic books on his Kindle when this happens.
  
• He genuinely likes people, and will rarely sit in his room, preferring to work in the common areas.
