Xuan Tien John Wu
"I am what I am; it is 'The Way' ". But... "What am I?" Between his eyes and his height, Xuan has an obvious mixed heritage which would either seem common or overlooked in the US. His slightly pale golden skin is a complimentary contrast to his dark hair that hangs just down to his shoulders. Although he seems usually casual and relaxed, a good look at his face would show that his dark eyes miss very little. His fluid movements gives an impression of a flowing stream somehow. And if one were close enough, they could smell the subtle scent of the sea in his hair. Xuan most often wears black, and does not seem to put much extra effort into "looking good". He comes across as calm and disciplined, though often seems lost in his own thoughts. He's often pleasant and respectful, but his confidence is often mistaken for arrogance except to those who know him. In fact, he often seems boring and cold. He even prefers to be called John (as it's easier for most Americans to pronounce). Fresh out of China, John is still relatively new to the USA but speaks perfect English. Although mysterious in many ways, he makes no secret that he comes from a very traditional Chinese background, where his father believes in "the old ways". He comes from money, but it's not obvious in the way of his material belongings, with the exception that he lives on a yacht. There are many things he tends to withhold about himself, but will be upfront with his journey to self-discovery, mainly his Western heritage. He believes in the way of the Tao ("The Way"), and he is an accomplished Martial Artist in a form he will often refer to as the "True" Martial Arts. He is most at home the closer to the sea he can get. |  |
