In life, Doctor—or "Professor," since he preferred to be acknowledged for his teaching—Petros Lorrimor was a man of average build and slightly more than average height. Despite the toll visibly taken on him by his gazing into the abyss, he nevertheless had kind eyes and an earnest manner of speech. His dress was conservative for a mage, usually consisting of a frock coat and walking-stick rather than the traditional robes of the academic arcanist, and his wire-rimmed spectacles were as often pushed up onto his brow while he pondered some grave thought or other as they were perched upon his nose.
