It is Captain 'Kim's' feelings that it is a blessing that this Project has come to the area. He has joined to help and to quench his curious nature.

The Project has reloaded some of his cartridges and gave his aging AKSU-74 a good once over, and field equipment.

Trained him on electronics and better weapon techniques.

Ly Cong Kim has a wife and 2 sons. Ages 10 and 14.
2 goats, 14 chickens, 7 (2 boar, 5 sows)pigs. And pair of donkeys that haul around the back half a Chevy S10 pickup from his home at a former gas station to and from the market on Market day


The homestead in "Little Da Nang" near the ocean is shared by his Father, 3 aunts, 2 uncles.

The Uncles are pig farmers. 2 sometimes 3 times a year, 5 litters of 10 piglets per sow are born on average. Yes the Kim homestead is well off. With the new construction of the second barn last year, piglet production is up to full.

The cart is now used mostly to haul fish 'bits' from the wharf to feed the pigs. The headman's price 4 pigs a year for the offal.
Capt'n Kim's boat only goes out maybe once a month now with his Father and sons.

His boat (The Naughty Lass) is a steel-hulled inshore fishing boat like the 32-foot Euro 1200. Good in rough seas, but slow at 9-10 kts cruising for the semi-displacement hull. 1 berth forward with 4 bunks, cabin amidships with starboard helm and port side 4-seat (6 Viets) galley.
