Assigned by the Weeble to learn from and about the Morrow Project

The Tams know that trading is their life blood. Knowing what is and isn't valuable, what it is worth, what should be scavenged and what should be left behind.  How to take things apart, put them back together, build from the old and make things new.  These are valuable skills to the Tams.

As part of fostering these skills all Tams have at least a basic education. They know how to read and write, perform basic math, keep records and read manuals.  The minimum education each child receives is similar to an 8th grade education for a 20th century student.

They are considered adults at 16 though few marry at that age.  Instead, most embark on an endeavor to earn their place in the club.  Girls usually try to develop skills that allow them to play an important role in the Tam's organization.  Boys usually take one of two courses.  They apprentice or hire themselves outside the Tams and leave the group.  Or they work to earn a dowry that will allow them to marry well within the Tams.

Jenna spent some time with the Soviets, trading her labor for additional training.  She hoped to take these skills back to the Tams and use them to take a leadership role in the club.

About the time she came back the confrontation with the Vindicators occurred.  The fight was brutal but decisive.  Working with the Project, the Tams were able to send their would-be attackers packing.

Weeble knew Jenna had experience getting along with outsiders.  Weeble figured that the skills she had learned with the Soviets would mean she could easily integrate into the Project and learn from them.

So Jenna is working for the Project.  She will continue to do so until she either decides to take a permanent position in the Project, Weeble calls her back, or she has earned sufficient prestige that she can choose the dowry of any single man in the club.
