A five foot high, mobile drumlin swathed in armor and bristling with weapons ambles across the battlefield. Hair in dirty-blond plaits streams behind the buxom figure as it brings a wicked looking axe down to split the skull of an unfortunate foe. The helmeted head of the small, broad hillock comes up and seems to settle on the next foe. As the figure begins to charge, a breathy contralto voice cries out, "Lick me motherlode, boyo!"

Hailing from the cosmopolitan hold of Barak Varr where she was born under the Sign of the Drummer, Vala Steelhocks is rarely what one would expect from a dwarf. She speaks with a dwarven voice, bears a dwarven appearance, wears her hair in dwarven plaits, and drinks with dwarven skill. At the same time, she is irascible, crass, vulgar, aggressive, shameless, and violent. She seems to have no qualms when it comes to fighting and killing, or with the pursuit of conquests.

Vala is built like a privy made of interlocking bits of baked clay. She stands an even five feet tall and is at least as thick and broad as any dwarven woman has a right to be. Her physical assets are ample, with impressive hips and breasts as well as intimidating musculature and vigor. Her ash-blond hair hangs in plaits down to her belt and her blue eyes betray an unquenchable inner fire.

On occasion, she is described by what she is not as opposed to undertaking a foolhardy attempt to explain all that she truly is. Words are used such as implacable, incorrigible, inflexible, indefatigable, inexorable. She is known to be a creature of incredible thirsts, vulgarity, and a drive to act.

As a Champion, she cannot help but appear impressive wherever she turns. Striding the field in plate armor, with a magnificent breastplate of inimitable dwarven make in the nearly unbreakable meteoric metal for which they are famed. In addition, she is known to carry a great sword, battleaxe, spear, shield, wheel lock rifle, and blunderbuss, all of exceptional make.
