Moet is the youngest of four children and even though he is the only male he is definitely the runt of the litter. He was raised by his father and older sisters after his mother died from a terrible sickness when he was but a boy. His father was a stern man but fair and Moet admired him greatly and draemt of the day he himself could be one of the police. He often played with the other boys pretending to be a law man rounding up criminals and this childhood fantasy would become his adult goal. His father, however, forbid him to join the local constabulary due to his small stature. Moet would not be deterred. He had heard of a order of monks in the nearby city of Castillion. Monks that could teach him to use speed and balance to offset his small stature. With their training he could become the man he wanted to be, he could follow in his father's footsteps.

He left Shalton for Castillion in the night, sneaking away to join the Order of the Hand. With their training he eventually passed the entrance requirements and became a member of the city watch. He served for several years and due to his deductive abilities eventually earned the rank of inspector. It was shortly after this he received news that his father had fallen ill. He left at once and returned to help his sisters nurse their father. His father eventually succumbed to his illness.

Moet finds himself now with a void in his life. Not wishing to return to the city nor remain in the village he looks for what is to come next.
