Overall Appearance:
Adam has many different appearances. In general he can be said to be an athletic man, with a decent frame and good looks to match. However, he has sported many looks, and continues to do so. His father is a Native Hawaiian and it shows in Adam, the tan and island skin tone he has directly from his father. He's a tall man, though certainly not overly bulky by any stretch of the imagination. He carries his six foot five inch stature well, with decent posture and no slouching. Just as his mother taught him. His two-hundred and fifty five pounds is fairly lean, with little fat. His hair ranges from a light brown to dark, depending on the time of year and how much sun he gets, as well as what style he decides to wear. Oft-times he wears facial hair, though rarely a full beard, and he often gets compliments on his eyes. Ranging from green to brown, depending on his mood and temperament, his general disposition at any moment can be read through his eyes.

Basic Personality:
Adam is a kind and benevolent man, perhaps too lenient, as he is loathe to commit violence unless pressed to do so. This has led many to think him weak, when just the opposite is true. Any were can sink to violence and solve problems with fist or fang. Adam simply prefers not to. However, when pressed, there is no greater enemy than this lion.

Adam lives in the world of sensation possibilities. He is keenly in tune with the way things look, taste, sound, feel and smell. He has a strong aesthetic appreciation for art. He is also unusually gifted at creating and composing things which will strongly affect the senses.

He is likely to be kind, gentle and sensitive in his dealings with others. He is interested in contributing to people's sense of well-being and happiness, and will put a great deal of effort and energy into tasks which he believes in.

History:
Adam was born in Hawaii, his father a native and his mother of German and Irish descent. Shortly after his birth his parents split and his mother too him to raise, along with her own family, in Ohio. As he grew he faced a bit of social pressure, most of the people in the small town of Marietta not understanding his heritage. However, his mother made sure to always remind him where he came from, and he spent the summers with his father.

Those were the best summers of his life really, learning to surf and cruising the beaches for chicks with his 'summer buddies'. However, one summer his visit to his father was a bit different. His father had arranged, along with a few families of his summer friends, to take Adam and a couple of his friends on safari. In Africa! It was exciting beyond measure and exhilarating as well. Until Adam was attacked. Big game cats were cited as the cause, and though he had a decent hospital stay, his wounds healed quickly and he was released within a week.

This was only the beginning of the strange things to happen to Adam though, as the night of the next full moon he had his first shift. Luckily, or not so luckily, he was alone. His father was at work and nobody else was in the house. This led to only some property being destroyed, as well as the deaths of a few small animals in the local wildlife.

Upon his father's return, he recognized what his son had become, and rather than ostracize the boy he contacted his mother. Both parents were very supportive, knowing this was no fault of their child, and though the legalities revolving around shifters has always been tenuous, Adam had nothing but support.

Adam's mother always went out of her way to teach her son right from wrong. Though he met a fair bit of unacceptance in Ohio, when he went to his father it was much worse. As islanders he found that the neighborhood boys, at first, refused to accept him. Viewing him as a traitor of sorts, he was treated without much kindness, and constantly referred to as 'the haole', even though he looked Hawaiian. This led to many altercations and also the scar above his left eye, where his eyebrow still had a spot that looks shaved. The worst of these encounters took place on the beach, where Adam finally snapped and flew into a rage, managing to get the biggest of his tormentors on his back, Adam seated on his chest and pinning the larger boy's arms beneath his knees. By the time Adam realized what was going on the older larger boy was unconscious and bloody, and nobody was around. This scared Adam. What would have happened if he hadn't managed to bring his rage under control? Since then he always uses caution with his temper.

Adam was unable to find a pride in Hawaii, but Ohio had one in his area. Of course, as soon as they could, his parents actually contacted the Rex. They had no idea how to show their son how to deal with what was happening, and knew that he needed guidance. The local Rex, a man by the name of Victor, readily agreed. It was his duty to do so and he took the boy under his wing. In fact, other than his parents, Adam readily found family within the pride, and none of them made him feel poorly for who he was, or what he was, or whom his parents were. Adam quickly grew accustomed to his new nature and yet he knew he was not destined to stay in Ohio. Though the waves called to him, he settled on someplace that split the distance between mother and father and allowed him to visit with both, and they him.

Las Vegas.

Integrating into the pride there proved to be difficult. Perhaps it was his age that had lent itself so well to joining the other pride. He'd only been twelve and a boy. Now he was a young man however, twenty one, and finding his niche in the pride was difficult. Especially as a male. He was put through the paces, and soon his somewhat gentle nature soon became a boon and not a hindrance. The females adored him for the fact that he was not a ruthless male, and through their insistence he found his place. To many males they might have refused or been humbled, as when they ran he did so with the females. This was, however, how he earned the respect of the males. The small pride of females separated themselves from the males, going to a nearby pool to swim. It was there that they encountered the rogue werebear. He was mean, large, and in a foul mood. Adam, ever the chivalrous and polite one, tried to get the bear to back down, but was met with a charge instead. The battle that ensued was not pretty. No quarter asked, and none given - and then Adam's temper snapped, much as it had so many years ago. Outweighed and underpowered, the only thing which he had going for him now was sheer ruthlessness. He let himself go, letting the lion have free reign and beyond. Though he was sorely injured, bloody and tattered, Adam emerged the victor, and the bear was driven away. Seeing what he had done the females nursed him back to health, the healing of the shifter all that saved him really. His confidence in himself now cemented, Adam found that he could use his anger for good, but also realized it was something he needed to keep a tight leash upon. He knows what he is capable of.

The pride grew, and Adam had his place, fully ensconced. Respected by male and female alike. His father fell ill and Adam went to stay with him, that trip leaving him away from Vegas for several months. During this time the Rex passed and the pride fell into chaos. Unknown to Adam a powerful female had arrived in the city and taken over - though now he is on his way back.
