Appearance
Evening Star is a grey pelted unicorn who stands a little shorter than most adults.   Her eyes are a deep shade of purple, and her mane is pink with occasional locks of red hair. It is shorter than the average mare's: it hangs freely and does not need to be tied back, but doesn't drape all over her back or any weird way.  Her tail is also, similarly, cut a little shorter.  She claims that this just helps her keep her hair out of the way during surgery.

Personality
Though a sight on the strict side, Evening Star is a kind pony who never turns away somepony in need.  She's also the kind to walk a hole in the ground working hard all day and all night or worrying about somepony who has come into her care.  She prefers to handle things herself and often has to be reminded that things can't always be handled by two pairs of hooves alone.


History
Evening Star was born into a less than kind house, and she was a bit of a crybaby in her youth.  Naturally, this led to more than a bit of picking on and her being taken advantage of, especially by her own siblings who were some of the cruelest sorts.  As such, she was always very self-reliant, even though her heart was a kind one.  She'd work extra hard to have more for herself and for the others she cared for, but she had learned to harden her heart in her youth.  It was only as she aged and got away from her family that things got better.  She started a secret house of shelter for orphaned fillies and colts, doing her best to stay well out of the way of the harder things in life.  She spent just about every waking hour ensuring those who fell into her care would have protection, food, and safety.

She didn't know she had a grander destiny at hand when she was found by those who would bring Harmony to the world.  Life had made her hardnosed, but she answered the call out of kindness for those that needed her.  Little did she know that she would offer more aid than just medical help to a scuffed and bruised mare.  Stern as she could be, her willingness to help others with next to no thought for herself was the Kindness that the world needed at the time.
