Dexter's a tall, lanky fellow, a veteran of the Scout Service, having served four terms. Bushy beard, twinkling hazel eyes, and always a tool or schematics in hand, he's a tinkerer. There's nothing he can't fix. He spend his first two terms out in the 'field' but his skills lay in keeping things running, and his last two terms were spent ensuring that ships in service, stayed in service. There may be other reasons he ended up taking a series of planet-side assignments halfway through his service, but he doesn't speak much about his time prior to that.
