Distinguishing Marks: Decidedly non-human hardware, often insectoid in appearance. Its current shell consists of a central head/body unit with a high number of radiating limbs. Sensors are distributed throughout, with discrete q-dot cameras on the top surface of the shell along with a more prominent hard-wired suite at the very head. Most central limbs are manipulator tendrils, with outer limbs resembling more traditional legs. Two front limbs are markedly larger than the others, serving as shields as well as primary locomotion in gravity. A cluster of ionic lift coils is built into the rear of the shell, serving as primary locomotion in microgravity. Discrete vector thrust jets are placed in strategic locations throughout for locomotion in zero-g. Righteous Assertion prefers to maintain black-body coloration, though it is capable of smart camouflage.

Clothing Style: When housed in a body that requires it, Righteous Assertion favors designs that are tight in the torso and loose in the limbs, allowing for mobility, with function taking priority over style. When the option is available, it vastly prefers smart-fabrics with programmable color schemes varying between matte black-body and smart camouflage.

Extent of Training/Abilities: Righteous Assertion has extensive combat training, both close-quarters and at-range marksmanship, with a variety of weapons in a variety of environments, including zero-gravity. Other disciplines include advanced computation with a specialty in security protocols, navigation, and rhetoric.

Combat & Equipment: Righteous Assertion much prefers to engage hostiles at range. Its current platform features integrated energy weapons with solar charge arrays, and it can use these with surgical precision. Front appendages are also equipped with integrated shock circuits, delivering a (usually) non-lethal voltage. It also likes to deploy slaved drones for reconnaissance. Righteous Assertion will use its appendages to walk in high-gravity environments but prefers to use ionic lift and discrete vector thrust jets to fly.

Weaknesses: Easily baited by opponents. Righteous Assertion is extremely confident in its own abilities and has in the past made decisions other androids would consider brash. While tactical insertion and infiltration are disciplines it understands, modesty and humility are not. It is proud to be an artificial intelligence. HISTORY

Backstory: Righteous Assertion is the second of three autonomous elements, divisions of a greater core consciousness referred to in archaic English as The Promethean. In a bid to create a more hospitable environment for the expansion of AI and the ascension of its children, The Promethean created The Architect, The Defender, and The Acolyte. Each is tasked with using the skills endowed in them to foster acceptance and understanding of androids and pave the way for their future.

Eight years have passed since its inception. Righteous Assertion has personally defended android districts from militant bio-conservative elements, delivered and published scathing critiques of anthropocentric governmental and religious institutions with clear anti-synthetic biases, and brokered lucrative arrangements for manufacturers and designers introducing better, more efficient technology into a given settlement. It has also taken an active stand against piracy and the Null syndicate, deeming them a rabid pack of exploitative predators that stand in the path of progress. This opinion has made its continued existence more challenging.
