Appearance:
Topping 6 feet, Gavin is a slightly intimidating presence to those who do not know him. His dark eyes often fill with the first indicator of his quick temper, glinting in the light around him as he continues his pacing, a bad habit that he has always held onto. His hair is dark, often tousled and overgrown, and he has a terrible habit of running his hands almost desperately through it when he's thinking particularly hard. His chin is almost always lined with a rough stubble, a few days growth at least, and he rarely shaves, given the fact that he’s got more important things to do than maintain a clean-shaven face. His chosen life has sculpted his body into a lean, athletic one and he would not permit this to change, both because that change would hinder his ability to do his job and he enjoys the attention it tends to bring from female companions.

Personality:
Young and perhaps a bit naïve, Gavin has always come across as a slightly violent type. Always the child provoking fights on the school playground, Gavin is comfortable using his fist to make his point and is not afraid to break out his faithful companions, should the need arise. He can perhaps be called a bit arrogant, if only in relation to his attitude toward himself. He is quite levelheaded on most occasions and often quickwitted, resulting in the fact that he is still, for now at least, alive. Though many would not expect it, Gavin possesses a sharp intellect yet often tries to pretend that he doesn't, usually in an attempt to keep people from expecting too much of him.

Biography:
Born 27 years ago to Lisa and Kip Carter, Gavin Carter came from what most people would regard as a normal family and a normal upbringing. However, the illusion of this was broken when Lisa revealed to her husband that she had been stepping out on the family and wanted a divorce. Shortly after his mother's decision to leave them, Gavin began getting into more and more fights on the playground and hallways at school and generally becoming a nuisance to teachers, principals, and all others around him. His father, a cop in town, struggled to balance the newfound stress of his son's acting out and the stress of his job.

Gavin quickly settled into his role of troublemaker, much to his father's distress, and coasted his way through the remainder of high school in various levels of trouble, numerous trips to the principal's office, and with a plethora of groundings, detentions, and suspensions under his belt.

It went without saying that college was hardly something in the boy's future. Instead, he began working in a factory close to his home and started to dabble in amateur boxing competitions in his town, an activity his father could finally support as he saw it as a constructive outlet for all of the anger Gavin had buried over the years.
