Gall is one huge Hunkpapa. He's a giant of a man, weighing nearly 300 lbs. He's famous in Lakota circles, and quite a few Whites know of him, as well, as he fought in Red Cloud's War and at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. He has a brilliant tactical mind, and he's seen as Crazy Horse's equal in many ways, though he spends most of his time now leading his people rather than making plans for war.
