While it is hard to think it when you look at her, Regine Durrant was once one of the toughest Armor commanders in the Guards. Her tank group demolished entire company's of 'Mechs, putting to proof that the 'natural' superiority of the legged machines isn't always that natural.

She would have gone far, but killing was never really in her blood. Instead she found joy and love with Orion Durrant, the absent minded genius of the Star Guards. Now riding herd on three children, Regine still has that air of command at times, which can whip a member of the Guard into shape almost as good as it does her children.

And the Star Guards at least will follow her orders when she turns her back.
