Gabriel is the son of two pioneering parents. His father is a well known survivalist, his mother has been an animator of Japanese anime for years, blazing a trail for other women in this male dominated business. His childhood was spent in the untamed wilds of the world, and the frenetic steel jungle of Tokyo. After graduating he worked full time with his father testing new equipment, leading groups, and conducting search and rescue expeditions. He has come to college seeking to increase his abilities in Defense Against the Dark Arts, and have fun.

Both of his parents are wizards, though his mother lives largely in the muggle world. His father mostly uses magic to keep muggles away and deal with magical creatures.
