Visaron is nearly the opposite of his father and bastard half-brother, in appearance and demeanor. He is tall and slender, with an almost womanly figure, and a pretty, almost feminine face. His pale face is smooth, and he has short, lustrous silver locks.

He dresses in the finest fabrics of Dorne, the Reach and Essos, and is almost never seen holding a weapon or wearing armor. He has, however, mastered the dragon Syvarion: a swift, fierce beast that many believe will one day grow to outmatch Morkhuul.

He is the firstborn son of Aegar, and is thus considered to be the heir, though his father almost never openly says so. He had a typical pampered royal childhood: his mother kept him safe from his father's rages and desires for the boy to become a fierce warrior. So he was raised by maesters and scholars, rather than warriors and knights, and came to master history, alchemy and other academic pursuits. He even studied at the Citadel, earning several chains before the age of eighteen.

Visaron finally proved his worth to his father, however, by uncovering an assassination plot by the Crakehalls, after their revolt was brutally put down. Rather than simply have them all rounded up and killed, Visaron instead schemed to make them think he was on their side. He was thus able to infiltrate and unravel the plot from within, revealing more than a dozen nobles who were conspiring to kill Aegar.

Thanks to Visaron's efforts, the conspiracy was unveiled, and the would-be assassins were slaughtered. Since then, his father has kept him close, even allowing him to sit on the Small Council.

Despite his apparent loyalty, Visaron is not without scandal. It is rumored that he has seduced several noblewomen-and even noblemen-at court. Some whisper that he even owns a brothel, and uses it to spy on enemies and potential allies.
