Harald is of normal dwarf height and bulk although his plate armour considerably increases his bulk.

His hair and beard appear to be of a reddish-ginger hue (but see the next paragraph) and when he roars or, less often, smiles, you can see the gap where his two front teeth used to reside.

He is careless of his appearance and his hair, beard and person are often spattered with the remnants of his last few meals.  He smells as if he has not removed his armour for some time or, if he has, he has not bothered to wash too often.

He carries a large battleaxe with serrated edges to it and this is probably the cleanest item he possesses as he carefully removes any blood and gore from it whilst speaking gently to it.

His manner is gruff and seemingly belligerent but there is a spark in his eye which hints at a milder dwarf within.
