Stringfellow is a younger son from a successful family in the shipping/trading business.  He spent much of his youth visiting a number of regions and experiencing life on the move.  Spending many evenings, when in port, at events hosted by his father's contacts, he decided he wanted to become a bard.  He saw many successful bards that were regaling the gathered party-goers, not only with song, but also with tales of epic adventures and heroic companions.  Stringfellow wants to write his own collection of stories and songs, detailing the adventure and companions that he encounters.
