Rough around the edges, and not much to look at, Clarence wears a heavy cloak over a cheap leather vest and heavy canvas jacket and trousers. He bears a small shield with a lantern hook and carries an iron lantern hanging from a pole, along with a spare cask of lantern oil in his pack.

He recently purchased a shiny metal helmet with a headlight in it, just in case more light was needed.
