Amara is of medium height, and of a lean and wiry build. She's very attractive, wears her hair long with two braids reflecting her wealth within the clan. It is adorned with three feathers, two from Thunderbirds and a pure white, almost angelic feather. Amara also has a strong force of personality. Most would describe this as stubborn and not knowing her place. She habitually wears a heavy red shawl over her shoulders as she travels and walks around, shedding it only for battle. It is a prized possession of hers and she keeps it well. Amara's riding Rhino is called Thunderfoot, a tall grandiose beast with dark grey skin. Her rhino back with the herd is called Dustflower a light gray rhino with a large nick in one ear from a sword. Her sable is called Tigger because she likes the sounds of the words. She think it means bouncy trouncy fun fun fun fun fun in Earth Tongue.

Amara has always been a troublemaker in the Sky Watcher clan, getting into trouble and going against the traditional roles of a woman. She was due to enter the worship of Eiritha in her mothers footsteps, but Moonbroth allowed her to choose a different path. Most said the Bison Khan was foolish to take in the Rhino survivors and point to Amara as proof of that.

As she's grown, she has listened more and more to the teachings of the priestess of Vinga, even to the point of learning the barbarians tongue. Her hair turned red overnight showing Vinga's favour when Amara decided in her heart to follow her.

Amara has grown since becoming a brave. More sure of herself and confident in herself and her abilities. She still enjoys many of the same things traditional tribeswomen do, but the role of warrior rests well on her shoulders. Her javelins are her favourite weapon, each one can be named and is well cared for, but Grandmothers Tongue is her favourite, a gift from Grandmother Thorntree, it has grown with her and has spilled many a legend's blood.
