Ohanzee is smaller than most others of his age in the clan, smaller in fact than many younger though for his height his build is average. He has jet black hair that is currently wild and unbraided but into which several long dark black feathers have been tied. Oh his right shoulder he proudly carries a ritual scar, that of the Earth rune, the mark of the Wandering Rangers. His top right incisor is missing, knocked out by the mudshark that took Amaras hand. Above his left eye he carries the scar of an arrow fired by the leader of the broo war party who wiped Sky Bone Blue's clan.

History:
Ohanzee’s father Taima (Thunder) and mother Talutah (Blood-red) were so proud when their first son was born. They named him Shappa (Red Thunder) because from his mother he inherited the fire coloured hair and even as he was being born he was bellowing like his father.

Shappa was a large child and it was a difficult entry into the world for his mother so she was glad when it was over but the afterbirth did not follow, not for a long time. Shappa was born when Yelm was high in the heavens but by the time Yelm had entered the Underworld it was still not over.

At the darkest time of night a second child was born and it is said by some that a raven called out as he entered the world despite the hour. He was a runt who slipped out quietly with the afterbirth, but a shadow of Shappa in his parent’s eyes and this is what they called him, Ohanzee Shappa (Shadow of Red Thunder). He became known simply as Ohanzee.

Ohanzee survived and grew but could never match Shappa for bravery, strength, resilience or skill at arms and in his parent’s eyes never left the shadow of his brother. He did not resent Shappa for this, indeed the two were always close. Ohanzee and Shappa were each strong in their own was and together they were stronger still. Whilst Ohanzee could best his brother in guile and intelligence he never acted against him to test this and likewise Shappa always protected his little brother as much as he relied on the abilities Ohanzee had that he lacked.

Shappa died at Moonbroth and Ohanzee did not because there was no mount for him, otherwise he would likely have been cut down at the fore of the first charge like Shappa, his father and most of the rest of his clan.

Wihakayda (Little One), survived the charge and carried her dead rider away from the battle finding Ohanzee trying to join it on foot. He witnessed the carnage and could by this time see that battle was turning against them despite his young age and inexperience. Taking Wihakayda he fled with his beloved brother to ensure the correct rites were performed.

Ohanzee and just a few others have survived so far, his mother, the old crones Weayaya (Sunset) and Zonta (Trusted) and the youngsters Iye (Smoke) and Maska (Strong) the boys and the girls Kimimela (Butterfly) and Mina (oldest Daughter) all not yet initiated were able to evade those who came afterwards to hunt their clan, to try to eradicate them from Prax. It was only through the skills and guile of Dowenhowee (Singing Voice) that they were able to call on Raven to aid them, but the shaman is old and soon she will leave her body behind for good.

Then something good happened, something unexpected, the three rhinos they had suddenly improved in health, on two the skin toughened and the third even fell pregnant! Zonta said that it must be because someone of the clan has made the proper ceremonies at the Rhino Rocklands deep in the South West of the Wastes. Dowenhowee said that this was good and they must leave for there immediately for she might not be able to keep her body going much longer and without her Raven may not keep them hidden any more.
