Penny Dreadful is a little taller than the average, and typical of build, with
her womanly curves just about visible under her dress. She has long, strawberry
blonde hair, sometimes left loose or braided, and her bright blue eyes reveal
her keen intellect. She has fine features and thoughtful lips, and though
somewhat plain, the confidence with which she carries herself gives her a
certain proud beauty.

In day to day affairs, she commonly wears a fine dress and blouse, suiting the
fashion but unremarkable, with only a discreet, tasteful quantity of jewellry.
She refuses a corset or high-heels, finding them uncomfortable and restrictive,
and entirely pointless besides. She may wear a small, floral hat or bonnet, and
a rather well-stocked purse goes with her.

By nights, or when out hunting, however, she is more practically dressed, in a
simple dark suit and pants more fitting of a man, or simply pants, loose shirt,
and suspenders. She finds these easier to work and fight in. She adds a hard
bowler hat for protection of the head. So dressed, and with long hair tucked up
inside the bowler hat, she may be mistaken for a young man.

She commonly carries an umbrella or cane. Far from fashion accessories, these
are practical, solid, and can deliver a fair wallop.
