Josephine Hartley, having grown up with her momma, working the bar and their business as long as she can remember, knows that oftentimes a woman's best tools involve her appearance. As such, she always takes great care of herself, and ensures that every hair is back in place. Now,
 with that being said, she doesn't worry too much about stray hairs when they happen in the course of her work.

Josephine's figure is slender, and petite, and although she is in good shape stamina wise, she is by no means strong, or powerful. Instead, she is a more slender and graceful build, and oftentimes, uses her words to 'poof' herself up to be more intimidating or diplomatic when the needs arise, rather than depending on her physique to threaten.

Still, Josephine's arms are strong enough to hold a firearm when necessary, and having worked her whole life behind a bar, she isn't hesitant to pull one.

Still, odds are she isn't the best shooter around, but she's just as likely to drop her weapon as raise it.

Josephine Hartley is a young woman, who has always been more after her daddy's heart than any men of the town. As her family watched her grow from a young age, Josephine, or Jo for short, often acted more like a boy than a girl, at least in terms of activities. Jo wasn't, in fact, more feminine than many girls her age, and she knew perfectly how to utilize her charms and differences to get what she needed out of people. Having a good heart, and lack of desire to hurt others, prevented her from ever using her forces for evil, and it made her quite the popular young woman.

As Jo grew older, her father's bar was requiring more work, but wasn't making as much as it used to for him. As such, when Jo hit the age of 17, she started working in the family bar to help out. Acting as a waitress, while her mother worked the bar itself, Jo rapidly learned how to smoothly negotiate through the sometimes rude, drunk and slovenly customers that often came through, demanding more than they were willing to give. Jo learned real quick how to handle situations like these, and how to do it leaving all parties feeling better for their time, and not worse!

As Jo approached the age of 20, her father and her had gone hunting on the weekends nearly every month together. Her father appreciated her dedication to him and the family, and he loved her to death, and vice-versa. They often enjoy hangouts with camping and all manner of fun things, until his death, 2 days before Jo's 20th birthday. Jo wasn't entirely sure how he had died, only that her mother had been terrified, and wouldn't speak of it. Jo knew something else had been going on, especially when they'd moved. Moving from the fields of Nebraska to New York was the first indicator that things were a bit different, and Jo was determined to find out why...
