Ilsi is a tall, athletic young woman in her early to mid-twenties. She wears her honey-gold hair in a single, long braid, which usually spends more time in the way than anywhere else. Her strong jaw frames a fair face, but her eyes are gold-brown, nearly leonine in appearance.

  She dresses simply, in functional buckskins hemmed in fur, but goes barefoot most of the time. Her stride is confident and graceful, though not poised, and she smells faintly of the earthen clay and leather through which she trades with the villagers. Hung at her belt are the simple tools of a woodsman's trade: lengths of thin cord wire and a handaxe, but she keeps a razor-edged battleaxe and a yew longbow slung across her back.

  Her voice has a husky quality and a slight lilt, legacy of spending most of her time in the company of herself and animals and speaking rarely. However she has a lyrical, contagious laugh that hints at Elven blood.
