Background:  Rolf grew up in Craine in Western Megalos.  He never knew his father and was raised solely by his mother.  They were very poor and he grew up in a tough neighborhood where he had to fend for himself.  Which was doubly hard due to his small stature.  He got beat up often.  Life was bad, but made worse when his mother died of a very treatable condition if they only had the coin for a healer.  He was soon homeless, but he was bright though and caught the attention of a magician named Dorn who took him on first as an errand boy, and later as an apprentice.  He did well under his tutelage and eventually entered the mage's guild where he got further training.

Rolf is kind, almost to a fault, but capable of getting his hands dirty if he has to.  He also has a bit of chip on his shoulder and chafes at any mention of his smallish size.  He stands at 5' 9" and weighs about 120lbs.

Rolf wears leather boots along with the leather armor on his head, arms, legs, hands and even his neck.  His torso is covered in a tough brown scaled hide taken from the great worm he battled in a cave near the Three Corners.  A fine dark blue robe festooned with silvered thread is slung from his shoulders.

He either bears a crossbow or falchion and shield depending on his mood and situation.
