Atlantean, with some apparent Japanese
heritage, Yoshi has the usual dark hair
(worn to shoulders), and intense gray
eyes.  His build is slim and wiry, but
very muscular and toned, the epitome of
a gymnast and aerialist.
He generally wears loose clothing made
of natural fibers:  leather boots, beige linen pants and white linen tunic, with a leather belt and multiple pouches, under a brown woolen cloak with a deep hood.
He has a constant companion, a dragon cat that he usually refers to as Yaddle.  At nine feet tall at the shoulder, and twelve feet long with another seven feet of semi-prehensile tail, and weighing in at sixteen hundred pounds, she is a beautiful creature with a sinewous and predatory grace.  Originally, her scales were a pleasing pattern of stripes and spots in various shades of browns and grays, while the tufts of hair upon her jaw-line, forelimbs and heels of her six limbs, and her mane, were differing shades of green, the better to blend into forests.  Now, her scales have lightened to varying shades of beige, and hair to to shades of brown, to better blend into the desert.  The only thing she ever wears is a saddle and blanket, a bitless bridle, and saddlebags, though most of the time she goes without them, even when Yoshi is riding upon her back.

Disposition:  Tough, self-reliant, cocky.  Puts on a show based on space wizard knights armed with laser blades from a series of science fiction films from before the Rifts.  Has a tendency to stay in character as one of these "Jedi" almost all the time, though he is a fan of most pre-Rits film and TV entertainment, and has a pretty extensive knowledge.  Yes, he is a very athletic nerd who does a cosplay from his favorite series of movies, TV shows, and books almost all if the time.
Yaddle is much like a cat in her mentality, alternating between aloofness and affectionate towards people she likes (except Yoshi, of course), and generally tolerating those she does not know, while those she does not like or trust will know.  With Yoshi, she is playful and affectionate, and enjoys their performances.  Sometimes, she sees hunting or combat as just another form of performance, toying with her prey or an enemy.  She dislikes towns, almost never venturing within their borders.
