Sheridan has the sort of suave and sophisticated demeanor that makes him a favorite of the ladies in every posting, although his recent adoption of a close-cut full beard lends a more roguish air to his grin. Like Castle, Sheridan's combat style is swift and brutal, although his is less deceptive, as he always appears dangerous.
It's Sheridan that could be considered 'second-in-command' of Savage Platoon, as Lyka Stone's closest friend within the squads. Never entirely still, Sheridan is always doing something with his hands, and if in reach of a scrap of paper - be it napkin or training manual - he's folding origami, often leaving the little paper animals behind on end tables in the common room, the cafeteria, or in the briefing rooms.

Broad and tall and built like a truck, Mick can go from deadly serious to boisterously overjoyed in a heartbeat, although the broad smile and twinkling blue eyes he usually displays can be misleading - the man has a serious capacity for violence. Despite being only 30 years of age, his close-cropped black hair and goatee are shot through with a fair amount of early grey, leading many to assume he's older than he is.
One of Lyka Stone's original squadmates, from before her promotion to Sergeant, Castle is most experienced with her dangerous style, and is usually the first to go along with whatever crazy plan that's proposed. When not on the field, he can usually be found out drinking, or working on whatever watercolor project currently resides on the easel in the corner of his room.

North lacks the rough and wild demeanor of his squadmates. Tall and lean, with neat black hair and blue-grey eyes in a pale complexion, he appears more like a businessman than a killing machine. Erudite and ever mindful of his etiquette, more than once the question has been raised as to why he stays with Firefly. The answer is simple: he likes them, and more importantly, their brutality compliments his more intellectual skills.
Although as close to his squadmates as any set of siblings, North spends a good deal of time alone as well, either curled up with a book, or tucked away in his room, from which strains of classical cello can often be heard.

A thrill-seeker and daredevil, according to his file from the Nemis Combat Academy, Finn O'Reilly was exactly the sort of recruit that Savage Platoon needed. Eager to get himself into one of the "fun" suits, instead of the standard Mongoose utilized by the rest of the 1st Regiment (where he would have been stuck going, regardless), Finn jumped at the chance to join the 2nd Battalion's experimental Savage Platoon.

Unlike his fellow 3134 graduate, Finn, Dwane Wilson might have had the opportunity to run one of his beloved Kestrel suits in the 4th Regiment... but then again, he might not have. A product of District 6, he could have taken the chance on a spot being open at the Regiment closest to his home, but instead he - like Finn - signed up for the sure thing that was a spot in Savage Platoon.
