Rider.

Names are important to Athemas culture. Everyone who has interacted with them for more than a minute knows that. Few realize though what a callsign means to them. It is more than just a moniker, it is a persona. A thing to compartmentalize all of the actions required of a warrior and to help to suppress their humanity. For some these names change, but Antal has always been Rider.

He was one of the first of the generation to be named, in their early years in the AAMA. It was born of his daring in an almost suicidal attempt to ride a horse during an outing to the countryside. Ride it he did, as if he was a natural. An obsession was born, from animals, to monocycles, to 'mechs. To be the best.

That was the extent of his ambition though, an oddity among his bloodhouse. That he would not conform to the common system of hierarchy and interaction of the other Lycaeus further made him an outlier, his only real tether to it all being his sibko. Even that has left him, as only 9 were left at the end of their training, he the lone Mechwarrior of them. Volunteering for the 1st Regiment was his contribution to the House and his people, but it was easy for them to let him go.

During the academy he gained a reputation as a loner among his kin, but his new love for the electric guitar and discovery of rock music was more than enough solace for the Rider.

Still growing into his height, Antal's swimmer's build is similar to most of the Lycaeus bloodhouse. There is also the common sense of vanity to how he has taken care to develop it as both a weapon outside of the cockpit, and as a piece of biological art. Already he had begun to let his black hair grow long in a common Lycaeus fashion, slicking it back for when he wears a neurohelmet. His eyes are a dark brown that are surprisingly warm and engaging, easily bringing an ease to his words and music.

Like most Athemas, he favors leather garb when out of uniform. In his case it is a rich chocolate brown color, having several trousers made of the material and one hooded racer jacket. Denim is also a favorite, while his shirts tend towards darker red, green, and black colors. Always around his neck is a golden chain that serves double duty of holding his deity medallion and codex crystal.

Like many others of his culture, Antal has tattooed a tribute to his bloodhouse, though his is not often seen as the inked image rests on the left side of his lower abdomen. A howling wolf encircled by the sun, it is a tribute to both the patron deity of Lycaeus as well as the wolf house itself. Farther up and just below the ribs lies a black shark, a tribute to his first assignment. More commonly spotted is the 9 in gothic font on the inside of his right forearm.

Always, when not in duty uniform, he has strapped to his left thigh a single sheath carrying the Lycaeus Fang. A vibrodagger granted to every member of the bloodhouse who officially become warriors. A wide black leather belt helps to hold it, and when in use his holster, that he buckles to the left of the front belt loop.
